e-Government Services & Solutions

maat International has developed the maat eGovernment Platform to propel the modernization of local government and to favor local entities and city councils.  It also encourages the interactive use of information and communication technologies on the part of the citizens and presents itself as an efficient, open and multi-channel alternative for information and management systems pertaining to Local Administration.

maat eGovernment integrates the areas of Accounting, Tax management, Archiving, Records, Citizen Database Management, and integrates these aspects with the administration corporative portal, including formalities, negotiations and content and services oriented toward citizens and businesses.

  - From anywhere.
  - Using any means of communication.
  - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

maat eGovernment opens the door to new relationship models in which the citizen can become more involved in political debates and other processes related to their communities.

Likewise, it allows for the encouragement of business opportunities within the community and offers new possibilities for education and training, thanks to the high level of personalization of the interactive online, multi-channel services (PC, Mobile Phone, Television, Kiosks, etc.) between the citizen and the local administration (Data, Applications, Reports and Transactions).

maat eGovernment General Architecture.

maat eGovernment constitutes itself as a reference technology solution for Local Administrations by means of a platform that offers integral support to Electronic Administration Services by means of two main paths.

Internal Management (BackOffice). Local Government Intranet: covering all proper functioning of advanced municipal management.

External Management: (FrontOffice) (Gateway site for relationship with the citizen and business): offering the end user a point of reference both informative and for the carrying out of administrative processes. In this sense, the local authority-run portal offers a wide array of services.

maat eGovernment offers its services in Cloud Computing mode, meaning that in order to access these services, all that is necessary is a computer with a Web browser and an internet connection.  The use of security codes and public key certificates (identity certificates) allows for the guarantee of individual authentication, privacy and security in the safeguarding and handling of data.

The implemented architecture favors the constitution of Shared Services Centers —promoted by foundations, associations, districts, deputations and other entities— oriented in a particular way to smaller municipalities and, concretely, those in rural communities or involved in rural culture, highly fragmented and in many cases without material and human resources to bring the eGovernment model to their citizens.  Alternatively, for municipalities with increased numbers of inhabitants, there is the possibility of these areas having their own local server.

In this way, a technological architecture is offered which is focused on mixed network computing (centralized and distributed) by means of a Cloud Computing paradigm as a way to achieve maximum tolerance of failures (computer and communications), load balancing, scalability, improvement in management (remote server management, network devices, etc.).  The proposed solution allows for the use of a functional and technological architecture to support not only those systems of local governments connected to Shared Service Centers, but also those which, given their particular characteristics, demonstrate a more independent functioning.

maat eGovernment demonstrates that there is an existing alternative for information and management systems in present-day Local Administrations.  This alternative structures and blends existing solutions into a technological framework that gives rise to a new generation of municipal services and features.

Furthermore, maat eGovernment is a solution that offers access by means of multiple devices including computers connected to the Internet, mobile phones and digital television.
